Managing Director : Tony Lundin

Tony Lundin is a Senior International Management Consultant specialising in the Healthcare sector. He has extensive experience in health service evaluation, planning and management with special focus on capacity utilisation and efficiency enhancement in healthcare systems and hospitals, evaluation of new business opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, turnarounds, and hospital financial management including activity based costing.

He has worked in South Africa, sub –Saharan Africa, UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Previously a Management Services Director with full P&L responsibility for the operational management of hospitals in a World Leading Private Healthcare Provider, Tony’s considerable experience in a fast changing, multi-cultural environment includes health service evaluation, planning and management with focus on improvement of efficiency in healthcare systems and hospitals, evaluation of new business opportunities, M&A’s, business turnarounds, financial and management accounting, activity based costing and managing capacity utilisation.

 His accounting background combined with a vast breadth of international strategic and operational expertise in the healthcare sector and a passion for business improvement provides ability to optimise business performance.

Property and Projects Director : Andre Carsterns

Andre Casterns is a Project Management Consultant with a special focus on hospitals. Prior to co-founding Health Partners, he spent ten years with Netcare Holdings where he was General Manager (Netcare Properties); and Director of Netcare Property Holdings (Pty) Ltd and Netcare Hospital Management (Pty) Ltd.

During his tenure he managed the completion of more than 2 500 building projects to the value of approximately R3bn, and managed the Group’s R10bn property portfolio.

Some of his flagship projects are the Blaauwberg (Western Cape) and Ballito (KZN) Hospitals.

Finance and Operations Director : Deon Krüger

 Deon Krüger is a business and process optimisation specialist focussing on the Healthcare industry.  He focusses on the automation of systems, the improvement of processes and the impact thereof on financial planning and Strategic growth. He served Articles of Clerkship with one of the big 5 international auditing firms and also worked in various auditing and Financial Management positions.

Between them, the founding members have more than 40 years of experience in developing hospitals, managing hospital operations (including procurement of equipment and medicines, financial management, IT operations), and consulting to both private and public hospital establishments.  They have worked for the leading private hospital groups in South Africa and internationally, the latter especially in the United Kingdom and the Middle East. HP also owns and has formed partnerships with companies that provide critical services in the healthcare value chain such as technology platform, procurement and facilities management.
